Leaks and staining
Visible interior or exterior signs relevant to the concern.
Roof repair
The stain inside is not always directly below the opening outside. We look at the roof area, nearby transitions, and the information you can share, then explain a practical repair path.

Active water
Avoid wet electrical areas, unstable ceilings, standing water, and any attempt to climb onto the roof. Move belongings or use a container only when it is safe. If conditions create immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Water can move along decking, framing, underlayment, or penetrations before it appears indoors. Weather direction and earlier repairs can add clues. A useful evaluation considers the visible symptom and the roof details around it rather than treating the interior spot as an exact map.
What we evaluate
Visible interior or exterior signs relevant to the concern.
Missing, displaced, worn, or incompatible materials around the area.
Flashing, walls, valleys, roof edges, vents, and penetrations.
Prior repair areas and information about when the symptom appears.
Our approach
When did it appear, under what weather, and has the area been repaired before?
Review accessible roof and interior areas relevant to the concern.
Capture useful conditions and distinguish observations from assumptions.
Explain the proposed repair, limits, and signs that may call for broader work.
Perform the agreed work and retain appropriate closeout information.
Common questions
Most leaks start at details rather than open shingle areas: pipe boots, flashing at walls and chimneys, valleys, vents, and earlier repairs. Wind-lifted or missing shingles are the next most common source.
Often. When damage is limited to one area and the surrounding shingles are still flexible and sound, a targeted repair is usually the right call. Widespread wear or repeated leaks in different places point toward replacement.
Not always exactly. Discontinued lines and weathering change color and profile, so the scope says what the closest available match will be.
Keep people away from wet electrical areas and sagging ceilings, catch water only where it is safe, and do not climb onto the roof. Call the office with the location and what you see.
A repair addresses an agreed area and condition; it is not automatically a warranty for unrelated roof areas or concealed conditions. Matching aged materials may be imperfect. Opening a detail can reveal additional work. Any change should be documented and approved through the proposal process.
